Since its inception in 2007 with an aim to promote chemical engineering, AZeotropy IIT Bombay is now recognized as the leading chemical engineering symposium organized in India with a yearly participation of over 4000 students from 300 different engineering colleges all over India and more than 50 corporate personalities working in the field. We are a non-profit organization working towards bridging the gap between Students, Industry and Academia. AZeotropy as a whole is an interesting blend of various intriguing Competitions, Lecture Series, Panel Discussions, Exhibitions, Workshops and many fun-with-learning events. In line with these intentions, AZeotropy has been striving ever since towards its mission with a promise of spanning the length and breadth of Chemical Engineering!
A discussion among experienced industrialists, an opportunity to engage yourself in an enriching discussion by pioneers of chemical engineering and make conclusions on current concerns in industrial and research fields.
Dr. M.M. Sharma, recipient of the Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, and Royal Society. Sharing his life experiences as a chemical engineer, a chance to arouse your enthusiasm enabling you to diffuse deeper into the realm of chemical engineering!
Chemical transformations can be used for a multitude of ingenious activities apart from the synthesis of useful final products. One such application is designing of stop switches. Chem-E-Switch provides you with a platform to come up with creative models which use chemical reactions to break electrical circuits at specific intervals of time.
Profound professors from esteemed universities are invited to talk giving young budding engineers a glimpse of recent research trends & upcoming fields in the chemical society.
A greatly appreciable initiative was taken by AZeotropy to promote a socially driven cause in 2015. It comprised a Social Campaign spreading awareness regarding Eye Care and free Test Camps in which a large number of students benefitted.
ChemRover is a competition organized by AZeotropy which looks for creative minds among engineering students who can come up with innovative solutions for driving a vehicle powered by non-conventional sources of energy. It provides an excellent platform to exhibit your scientific knowledge along with your creative skills.
A stepping stone for AZeotropy when the Indian ace cricket commentator and journalist, Mr. Harsha Bhogle was invited for a lecture
